Saki and Megumi are very close and are described as being "two peas in a pod". Despite Saki thinking Kyo is stupid, she can't come to hate him, because she does think he is a good person. She is depicted as very perceptive; and conducts herself in a deadpan manner. It is mentioned that Saki's husband came to visit Saki by plane, but it did take some time before they got together.

One day, her female classmates pinned her arm down and burned it, as they were curious about the extent of her "waves". With this power, Saki was able to hear the inner voices of her family as well as other people. So when Kyo began dating Tohru, Saki was briefly sad; expressing that "he was taking her away", yet that she and Arisa were really counting on Kyo to make Tohru happy. Saki loves Tohru more than anything, and she states that Tohru will always be her one and only weakness. Nonetheless, she puts Tohru's happiness above her own and feels as though Tohru's happiness is her happiness. Saki was also an outcast, and although people hated her, they ignored her and put their distance from her because they were afraid of her powers. She usually leaves it untied, but wears it into a single long braid, laid over her shoulder, in school. In fact, Saki does not care about the assumptions and rumors about her, because she knows she has people who cherish her for who she is. So when eventually did find friends who accepted her, Saki's love for her parents grew.
