I love the idea that when you go to one of our favorite Parisian restaurants, you’ll likely be greeted by and served by the boss, as Steve and I were by Laurent Martin, who runs This is Day 45 of my “100 Days in Europe” series. Rick Steves Paris 2020 (Rick Steves Travel Guide) For some reason I didn’t know that he had a restaurant too.
Finally I just purchased Rick's guide and after reading and taking notes cover to cover, I now have a clear plan for our 5-day Paris trip. This review is not on the content of the book as I have not had a chance to read it.
Our reward: to eat at our favorite of the bunch at the end of each evening.

Came in a timely manner. I purchased the Kindle version and it is fantastic like all of Rick Steves other guides! Some parts of the book came off a little pretentious and snobby.
Our trip to Paris would not have been nearly as enjoyable without this book!

All sorts of details are hidden in those guides, such as where to find the best jazz clubs, best rich shopping areas, best not-so-rich shopping area, where to avoid the tourists, where to find the tourists, where to find the red-light district, and on and on. The font on the other side of the page does not bleed through, unless your intentially trying to get it too (just like any book). I found this book very useful for my upcoming trip to Paris. Even after I saw the negative reviews, I still purchased this guide and I am glad I did.
