Pilot G2, Pilot Juice, Schmidt 888 and the other rollerball & Pilot G2 refills listed in the article are shorter than Mont Blanc refills but are the same size in every other way but they do not have the threads.

They are going to put Zebra out if business singlehandedly. I am trying to find a ballpoint refill to fit a Lamy M63 Rollerball pen (eg Al-Star).
My plan was to ditch the roller ball refill that came with this because i prefer gel inks.

The fine size is said to be able to write for up to 8000 meters, with the broad reaching 4500 meters. I used part of the cap that came with the Parker refill, i.e., I trimmed about 2-3mm off the open end of the cap.

There is a joint in that barrel that you can neither see nor feel.

I also bought 2 Schmidt Fineliner refills (hadn’t been able to find fineliners since Monteverde stopped making them) and put them in a Faber-Castell pen and a Parker Frontier. Just use scissors, a craft knife or blade to shorten the length to match the original length. Or if you have a retractable G2 laying around, you should be able to twist the pen apart and pull out the refill and try it out to see if it fits before going out and buying one.
What this adapter does is allow the user to insert the tiny D1 refills that we most commonly find in multipens into a LAMY ballpoint pen format. It’s the only full-sized ballpoint refill Lamy makes. Thanks in advance!

All you have to do is modify it a bit by adding a piece of paper, or in our case we cut a piece of the Lamy ink refill, to the inside of the pen to creat some sort of filler because the Pilot refills are smaller. You may want to pop out the refill and take a look at it and double check.
