I felt very safe with the social distancing markers. We were looking for a smaller more intimate place to go since the other place felt like there were people everywhere. You certainly can share! I think this would be a great place to come with a group of friends and have a picnic. While the server didn't know much about the wines (she works in the cafe on a normal day), she did her very best and got us a brochure of wines to explain more about each one. I ordered HAM, egg whites, crispy hash browns and sour dough toast. They sell oils, fresh fruit and veggies, apparel, and of course, wine. They host a lot of outdoor events during the summer for the whole family. They have a kids playground area where your kids can have fun playing, also an outside pizza oven with fresh pizzas and sandwiches. It was an amazing Sunday!This startled off as a fruit stand and a hickory blossomed into a winery. Oh, and their staff is really nice and helpful.Great winery out in Lodi Ca. The meals are very good and large. All of the serving utensils and cups are disposable. My favorites were the "Lust" and the "Verdot," but I actually ended up getting a bottle of the very reasonably priced "Reggae Red Blend." We decided to join because of the winery and property in addition to the yummy wines. It's a destination within itself because its so big.My first Lodi winery that I've actually visited, and I am in love! We enjoyed an arugula and prosciutto pizza on the patio with a nice sauv blanc. I remember it like it was yesterday; a bottle of Michael-David Lust that in my opinion sealed the deal for me and now MDW is my go-to Zinfandel for every occasion.We all went to the winery after we had breakfast at the cafe and we all had the $15 reserve tastings. I really wanted it for the bottle with the cool Bob Marley label, but the wine itself was tasty and easy to sip on their lovely patio. My mom, sister and I picked Lodi as a meeting place for girls day. The tasting allows you to jump around which was nice. The fact that it's local, kid-friendly, has an on-site cafe and an outdoor bistro, and good wine, are the main closing factors that got me in and keep me coming back. We recently became wine members. Can't wait to come back.Came in on Saturday as a walkin and the host did politely say we could come inside but couldn't get a table because there weren't any reservations, so we walked around for 10 minutes. I had never been to a winery where I enjoyed all of my tastings. Lodi is known for their delicious and hearty zinfandels and Michael David's varieties are no exception.

In the same building they have a cafe that serves some of the great breakfast and lunch menu. I actually really liked the freakshow and earthquake varietals in the reds. This place has it all with plenty of seating for the family. We tried both and mainly chose reds, although the 3 whites from the current release list were all very good.

The staff greeted at the outdoor area gate. Gilda was behind the bar and she was beyond…""We stopped here on a whim (and because the reviews looked good) after leaving Michael David. Great place to spend time enjoying wine while the kids are playing or enjoy a meal. I'm a member for the simple fact that they cater to families. Needed more time, will go again.I've been here a couple of times in the past and by the third visit, the winery finally drew me into becoming a member. Great job Michael-David Winery.Love this winery!
