Cheers! We waited about 2 hours at the Green Door Tavern upstairs for our turn to enter this bar, and I think it was worth it! Waitress was adorable. We are visiting from NY so she filled us in on all the things and themes they have going on there. I saw this recommendation on Instagram and wanted to check it out because of it's cute decor. We hope to welcome you in again soon! Situated under a rather run of the mill watering-hole, the Drifter is found behind a secret door. After you have found the entrance and put your name in, be prepared to wait. Great place to get a well made cocktail and see an amazing show. After we ordered, we looked around and saw that a majority of ladies had the same drink. We love our guests and nothing makes us happier than when they enjoy their visit. We placed a call to simply ask how busy they were, we were put on an immediate hold and were never taken off hold again. I loved the subtle spice, it mixed well with the pineapple. We loved the tarot card drink menu, in particular the Bye Felicia and Suns Out Guns Out, and the try your luck option for $10 where you pick a fortune cookie and risk getting a shot of melort - or a cocktail. We were seated right by the stage and told that shows start on the hour every hour and can vary from burlesque to magic shows so we were excited to see what performance we were going to be able to experience! The idea itself is creative but can get annoying because they have a limited set and you have to keep asking the waitress to bring them. The bartenders were very attentive.I love secret bars especially if they're inside another bar! The Drifter is definitely not your local Chicago sports bar. The shows are very tasteful, yet still sexy. View the skyline from the Chicago River while listening to live commentary.
