Polarization, type and pattern is specified in the respective AP datasheets.
Re: AP-ANT-38: Cross or Co Polarization & Gain In the outdoor case for single user MIMO we can introduce a 2 nd degree of freedom by using antenna polarization. The kit contains 2 differently polarized antennas to be used as a 2x2 MIMO pair, and provides coverage in the 4.9 – 5.875 GHz frequency band.
Antenna Gain. I will see if anyone on my team has a 6.5.3.1 IAP with external connectors and if they see the same behavior.Gain should be set to 7.5dBi.
Re: AP-ANT-38: Cross or Co Polarization & Gain
Linear polarized antenna are generally either vertically polarized or horizontally polarized, while circularly polarized antenna are either left-hand or right-hand circularly polarized. Re: AP-ANT-38: Cross or Co Polarization & Gain And my cli shows the value I input, in this case 5.0Any way to get an official answer on this ? What issue are you talking about?I am talking about Horizontal & Vertical Polarization.

Because indoor polarization is of limited beneift due to reflections and can actnually impair the operation of Transmit Beamforming and MU MIMO (as we move towards Wave 2) In addition , the use of directional antennas indoors can negatively impact MIMO, Tx BF, and MU MIMO . You can also measure or calculate additional attenuation between the device and the antenna before configuring the antenna gain.

When setting in the GUI, it continues to show as zero:What I was trying to ask with the polarization questions is what to select here:Ah, that's new, chose cross polarization. Applications for different types of antenna polarization.
Each of the four MIMO antenna elements is connected to the Aruba Access Point via a low-loss, plenum rated coaxial pigtail. The radiation patterns are uniform and symmetrical, providing high level signal density into defined coverage zones, and optimum coverage conditions for MIMO performance.Antennas for Indoor Access Points with RP-SMA connector Mark as New; Bookmark; Subscribe; Subscribe to RSS Feed ; Permalink; Print; Email to a Friend; Alert a Moderator; Alert a Moderator. Ideal for conference rooms, dense cubicle deployments. The AP-ANT-13B is available as a single antenna or a multipack three antenna kit, the AP-ANT-13B-KIT.
Wich antennas to choose cross for and wich to choose co for ? Re: Integrated Antenna Specification
If the Instant AP has external antenna connectors, you need to configure the transmit power of the system.
If the Instant AP has external antenna connectors, you need to configure the transmit power of the system. The AP-ANT-1 is the preferred choice for multi-purpose service deployment or wireless intrusion prevention (WIP). Normally i have also heard of AP which has dual polarization enabled! All outdoor radios and antennas support dual/multiple polarization antennasBecause indoor polarization is of limited beneift due to reflections and can actnually impair the operation of Transmit Beamforming and MU MIMO (as we move towards Wave 2)In addition , the use of directional antennas indoors can negatively impact MIMO, Tx BF, and MU MIMO© Copyright 2019 Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP
