Seeing and hearing the legendary Bob Dylan brought tears of joy to my eyes.Dylan was great (this whole tour has received rave reviews) but the security at the door of the Anthem (we were rerouted by personnel to the Maryland Ave entrance) was slow and disorganized.
When we said something to security about the issue we were told "this is the way Bob Dylan wants it" but we'd been to the shows weeks earlier in Baltimore and the entrance process there was smooth as silk.
The evening was a sad experience.First, though it was my 26th Bob Dylan concert, it was my first time at The Anthem, the theatre that Bob was appearing at. You won't be sorry!We so looked forward to hearing Bob Dylan at The Anthem.

I had seen Dylan about 3 weeks prior to this in a College Gym in Baltimore, and he was great there, but it was a gym. We’ve seen him dozens of times over the past 40+ years so maybe our memories of earlier shows will have to sustain us.He didn't name it and doesn't refer to it as such, but folk-rock legend Bob Dylan has been on what's become known as his Never Ending Tour since 1988. I always love Dylan, but this may the best I've ever seen him.What is amazing about attending a Bob Dylan concert is the consistency with which Bob and his band continue to perform, year after year. There is no apathy in his performances anymore. It’s still worn, but it’s pleasant and filled with piss, vinegar and passion now.
His band is as sharp as ever, his rearrangements make you fall in love with his songs all over again.
After the instrument of torture years (2009-2015) for me at least at the shows I went to, Bob has redefined his voice. There was not one genuine moment during the entire concert. Even at age 78, Bob continues to find ways to reinvent himself backed by his world class band: Charlie Sexton, Tony Garnier, Bob Britt, Donnie Herron and Matt Chamberlain.Hadn’t seen Bob Dylan perform in nearly 30 years.
